FAQ's
- Dry ice alternative: If you’re seeking a safer, easier-to-handle alternative to dry ice, choose Enviro Ice -12C with a 10 F formulation. Enviro Ice -12C suits frozen shipments requiring extended cooling or lower temperatures. Enviro Ice (unlike Enviro Ice -12C) has a 32 F eutectic point for shipping perishables with higher temperature requirements.
- Puncture-resistant: The Enviro Ice pouch has a tough plastic exterior for minimal risk of leakage. You can have peace of mind shipping medications, meal kits or other consumables knowing they’re packed with puncture-resistant ice packs.
- Drain and septic safe: Customers and employees can conveniently pour the Enviro Ice gel down the sink or floor drain without causing clogs or deteriorating PVC pipes. Users can also flush the gel down the toilet without harming the septic system.
- Reusable: Customers can save Enviro Ice gel packs to use in their lunch boxes. Your company can reuse Enviro Ice packs to cut costs and reduce waste.
Users have three options for Enviro Ice disposal:
- Use the gel as plant fertilizer: In general, users can mix Enviro Ice with water and apply it to indoor plants every two weeks. Please see our product data sheet for detailed instructions on fertilizing indoor and outdoor plants with the different Enviro Ice formulations.
- Dispose of the gel and recycle the pouch: Users can cut the pouch corner and pour the gel down a drain. They can then rinse the pouch and recycle it with their plastic bags.
- Toss the whole gel pack in the garbage: Customers or employees can also dispose of gel packs by tossing them in a waste bin.
